The new Voigtlander 40mm f/1.2 FE is lens that I first hated, than loved, than hated again and that somehow accepted it :) The first challenge of this lens: Before I bought this lens I actually didn’t like it. 40mm is an odd focal length for someone like me used to shoot 50mm. But nevertheless I bought it because of two reasons:

14 comments. share. save 2018-02-28 · The Voigtlander 40 1.2 is not a perfect lens. You may see some CA in some situations, and it will not render like a $7000 Leica 50 APO (nothing does). You will not have 40mm frame lines popping up on your M so you have two choices.

A 40mm 1.2 M-mount was indeed released 2 months after this discussion 🙂 It is $200 cheaper than the e mount and even smaller! So was wondering E-Mount vs M-Mount with tech art adapter. There should be some difference in the optics as form factor is different.
